Crazy shittttt
A simple meaning behind stories
The Lion king has been a hit to viewers both young and old. It’s story about the circle of life has captivated million’s of hearts.
I got the chance to watch it again on Disney channel earlier and I decided to write about my favorite parts in the story.
There are 3 parts from the main storyline which I loved the most.
The first part I loved was when Simba was held high by Rafiki at Pride Rock. Here we see not only the introduction of one of the main characters but the symbolic meaning of life’s importance. Nowadays, babies are more often aborted than taken into care by both old and young couples. They fail to see that the life they have brought forth is a gift from God. It may sound cliche but its the truth. We blame the child for the shortcomings we have as parents and the child can’t do anything about it. This introduction of Simba is a symbolism of being baptized into the new world.
The second part I loved was where Simba put his past behind him. He seemed to have escaped his responsibility in this portion of the story but it’s better than doing “other” stuff. Nowadays, people escape their way of life by indulging in bad vices. We think that these vices will help ease the pain but they won’t. Actually, these vices will only worsen our pain in the long run. Vices are just a mindset. If we keep thinking they will help, small or big, then we are up to a sorry ending. Simba may have escaped his responsibility in this part, but at least he did something worthwhile. I’m not saying that neglecting your responsibilities is good. We all have to take some time to ourselves, to think and find our way back into the complicated way of life.
The last part I loved was when Simba found the courage to accept the past, face the present, and be king for a better future. Often times, we are unable to move on ahead because of the painful past we’ve had. We have been crushed so hard that we can’t manage to pick ourselves up and continue. Brooding over past mistakes won’t get us anywhere but to destruction. Notice that the successful people we’ve come to idolize are people who failed and rose up again. No matter how many times or how hard the fall, they still pull their life together and start from the beginning. Simba, though he had a hard time accepting the death of his father, finally understood the meaning of being a king. A king, no matter how many failures he has incurred, will still rise up to be a better one.
What now? We all would think that it’s just another movie with a cliche storyline. Didn’t you notice the life lessons it has taught you?
One, appreciate life.
Two, put the past behind you.
Three, never give up.
These stories are the lifeline of each generation for they hold the keys to success in life. I salute Walt Disney for a job well done!
i dont know why, but rainy days seem to get the best out of me. for others it might be the scene of a summer afternoon, but no. not for me..
im more of myself, im more focused, and somehow the emotions in me stir easily. (and no, im not an emo, its just im a sentimental kind of person.)
every rain drop, as it ripples on a puddle, brings back memories of happiness, of peace, of love. i could still remember the afternoons me and my brother would play under the rain. we were so young then, laughing hard as if there’s no tomorrow. then would come the high school days when we’d sit on the school porch, counting drops as they fell. eternal memories that lie in us, the very ones that motivate our existence, hoping to be replaced, or rather be under something more remarkable, will be our guide to our journey in life.
as the rain falls, take time to be still. remember, and be inspired.
No matter how good you try to be to others, you will occasionally hurt them. Forgive yourself for it. The same will happen with them. Forgive them for it.
what is college all about?
they say college is another level of learning. like kinder and elementary, its aim is to fill our minds with information for our use in our future endeavors in life. but why does it seem that we have irrelevant subjects, (not that my message is to remove those subjects) that do not have any meaning in the specific endeavor we want to pursue in life?
the main purpose of college is to no longer fill us with information, or rather not one of its purpose, but also to train our mind and body to the things we are to experience in the corporate world. the statement “we are preparing you for the real world” is vague and unclear. is there such a thing as a fake world? there is no “another” real world, different from the one we are experiencing right now. the “real world” as we call it, is now in our hands.
it has come to my realization that everything we experience in college is the training itself we need for the corporate world. it seemed at first that i was looking for some specific training, a specialized one, that would train me and enhance my mental skills for the corporate orientation. now i understand that the preparation for every quiz, every deadline for a written report, every recitation asked by the teacher is the so called “training” i expect from my superiors. every stressful night, every depressing failing mark are the things that will mold and shape me. though i didnt see it at first, complaining and murmuring about everything uncomfortable. now i understand completely.
now, amidst there stressful things, i find time to understand and see the true meaning in them. these hold the key to my success, along with God’s help of course.
to every student having a hard time, all i can say is endure and make every second count. have faith in God and do your best.
